The Truth About Building Up Your Life
Have you ever engaged in destruction behavior while at the same time being fully aware that you were not taking a wise course of action? Solomon has a Proverb for us women about destructive behavior:
"The wise woman builds her house,
but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down." Proverbs 14:1 (NIV)
Whether we are building up our bodies for good health, building up our families, our friendships, or our careers, this is a simple truth to remember. We can take steps to build up our houses (our lives, our homes, our relationships), or we can take steps that totally tear them down. These words of wisdom can be a powerful truth to add to our belts of truth as part of the armor of God.
The next time you find yourself about to take steps that would tear down anything in your life, think about what a wise woman would do.
